The Cross and Crown Bible Class met at Mrs. Lois Pringle's home Friday February 19 with 11 members present. Officers elected: Florence Zurcher president Helen Meyers vice president Mary Taylor secretary treasurer Alma Hecke instistant secretary treasurer Ardis Broadston publicity chairman. Tom Zurcher presided scripture read by Lois Prinelo and lesson by Mrs George Knutson the teacher. Next meeting March 5 at Mrs Do's Prinele’s home at 2:00 pm.

Surprise farewell party honors Mr and Mrs Orville Stewart

42 Farmers Complete Engineering School
Forty two local farmers completed a three day Agricultural Engineering School led by instructors from State University. Topics covered tractor power fuels lubrication electric power corn harvesting storage and driving farm machinery costs and returns. WH Cunningham Married 65 Years Anniversary at Spirit Lake
Mrs Lowell Foster aged 9 aresm pamed by her sister Miss Perri Cunningham of Des Moines left Wednesday to spend a week in the home of their parents at Spirit Lake. The Cunninghams celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary last Friday having been married February 19, 1900. Another daughter Mrs Chester Wicks lives at Spirit Lake. One daughter Mrs Gladys Andersen is deceased.

For 50th Wedding Anniversary at St John’s Carst Church
Fred Hauser and Amelia Litterer observe their 50th anniversary with a Sunday gathering at St John’s United Church of Carst eight miles southwest of Nenna.
