Karl Kleinschmidt 71 died Saturday evening after an extended illness. Born February 26, 1894 in Germany, he immigrated to Greene at age ten and later married Louise Dralle in Germany in 1923. They farmed near Greene until 1961 before moving to town. Survived by wife Louise, son Norman of Greene, daughters Gladys Beninga of Jesup and Norma Noel of Greene, sister Sophia Salge in Germany, and ten grandchildren.
