Mr and Mrs Robert Glaspie of Greene announce the marriage of their daughter Mary Elaine to Alan Howard Hamilton son of Mr and Mrs Howard Hamilton of Hampton on Saturday December 4 1965. The double ring ceremony was by Rev R G Dohrmann at Mt Olive Lutheran Church Des Moines. The couple honeymooned at Fort Polk Louisiana where the groom is stationed in the U S Army and plan to reside near Fort Polk. The bride a 1962 Greene Community High School graduate was employed at the Hampton Court House.

The Packerd Club planned a social gathering for Mrs Filmer Landersen on Thursday January 6. A dinner tank meeting produced $5 million in bonds for the Chemplex plant project.
