Gene Majewski Killed in Hunting Accident Sunday
Gene Majewski 40 of Greene was killed four miles southwest of Marble Rock Sunday afternoon when a gun discharged while unloading after a hunt. Survivors include his wife Joanne Steinberg, two sons Mare and Greg, a daughter Jan, his mother and two brothers. Funeral services were Wednesday at St Marys Catholic Church in Greene with burial at St Marys Cemetery.

Developed with city leaders and the Commercial Club the questionnaire invites opinions on commerce, education, employment, recreation and local facilities. Three Injured In Car Tractor Accident Wednesday
Mrs Paul Schrage and baby Cindy Gail and Glenn Dale Freeseman were injured when a car rear ended a 1949 H Farmall tractor two and three quarter miles west of Greene about 7:00 pm last Wednesday. Freeseman was thrown onto the road and into a ditch with head injuries not requiring hospitalization. Mrs Schrage suffered cuts bruises and minor chest injuries. the baby fractured a rib. They were treated at Floyd County Veterans Memorial Hospital in Charles City. Mrs Schrage returned home Friday. baby to be released Thursday. The Butler County Sheriff’s Office filed a no tail light charge against Freeseman. The tractor, owned by Donald Allan, was a total loss.

George Knutson to Speak on KMHL Radio

Knutson, who left for Minnesota Wednesday, will speak Friday at seven AM on KMHL Marshall Minnesota on the Morning Meditation program that he ran for three years before moving to Iowa in 1954.
