Grain bin fire prompts rapid salvage and removal operations
Scattered burning debris from a front disarrayed grain facility caused extensive damage. Salvage work began with a crane and clamshell removing grain from bins, followed by bulldozers moving grain to trucks for shipment to insurers. The clamshell phased into dismantling the building as units loaded wreckage and grain for removal, with a vacuum machine later used to clear bin bottoms.
