Mothers and Dads play Little League in Marble Rock
Seventeen mothers and one grandmother faced off against the Little League team in Marble Rock last Monday evening while fathers joined the Babe Ruth players. Marjorie Shindelar pitched for the mothers, Beckie Chambers later for the boys, and umpire duties were shared by Art Lines and Merlyn Brunner among others. The six inning game ended with a hazy score as the mothers and fathers used extra outs, but the event celebrated community baseball with many local residents attending and assisting.
