Mysterious dog killings ring Aredale area farmers
In southwest Aredale a string of farm dogs has been killed or harmed in the past month, with several pets found mutilated and two families awakened by strange nighttime cries. Multiple dogs belonging to local families including Dohrman and Davis have vanished or been severely injured within a one mile radius. Nearby, Private Donald Ufford visits home on leave before returning to Fort Eustis. A 39-woman bus tour sponsored by the A and K Club toured sites along the Mississippi river including MicGregor and Devil’s Backbone Park.
