Floyd County 4-H Convention Sets Candidate Talks
Floyd County 4-H Convention April 15 features 16 candidates from Charles City Rudd Greene Marble Rock Rockford Nora Springs and other towns giving two minute talks at 8:00 p m in Charles City Junior High Auditorium under Frank Katcher. Four boys and four girls will be chosen for the county council and installed after the program.

The Floyd County 4 H convention opens April 15 with election of an eight member county council from 16 candidates. The Better Groomed Girl contest runs through May with a June 8 revue at the 4 H building. State and district camps are planned including a June 18 22 state conference at Iowa State University and a June 12 14 district camp at Clear Lake.

Junior Lutherans Hold Final Meeting at St Peter’s
The Junior Lutherans of St. Peter's Lutheran Church met after school for the year’s final session. Officers elected were Debbie O'Brien president Lisa Bigler vice president Bethany Metzger secretary and Barbara Brinkman treasurer. The theme was Prayer with studies on Easter and the Easter egg. Seventy children attended and lunch followed with an Easter motif.
