Funeral services for A J Titus held in Crawfordsville
Funeral services for A J Titus who died at his home near Fincastle were conducted at Crawfordsville Baptist Church at 3 50 PM Saturday and interment followed in Oak Hill cemetery. The Little Walnut Baptist church plans an all day basket dinner Sunday May 25. Ralph Sandy of Cloverdale was named administrator of the estate of Bertha Sandy by the Putnam circuit court. Miss Marjorie Call visited Crawfordsville for the senior reception at the Masonic Temple. Administrator appointed for Emma K Wrights estate by the Putnam county circuit court today. Mrs Earl Sourwine visiting Indianapolis with her mother. Frank O Swingley of Green Castle visiting friends in Aurora Illinois. Beehive Rebekah lodge to meet Monday at 8 PM mother and daughter night with a special program.

Local Family Welcomes Daughter as Funeral Held for Mrs Farrow Chapman
Mr and Mrs Vernon Shirley announce the birth of a daughter on the day. Funeral services for Mrs Laura Farrow Chapman of Greencastle were held at 2 30 this afternoon in her home with Rev C Howard Taylor in charge. Interment followed in Forest Hill cemetery with Perry Rush directing music. Jacob Kauble named administrator of music planning.

Affidavit Against Duffy Hughes Withdrawn
An affidavit charging Duffy Hughes of Greencastle with assault and battery filed May 1 in Putnam circuit court has been withdrawn. Townsend, also of Greencastle, filed the affidavit after a quarrel at a colored dance April 30. Hughes paid Townsend’s medical expenses and lost time wages, leading to the withdrawal.
