E H Knott intends to develop the farm he bought from Jas Idkin as warm weather returns. Knott also sold his home run last week to Logan Owen at a price of 120 dollars per acre amid dry conditions in the area.
Delta residents must not forget next Tuesday June 13 when polls open from 1 to 4 p m at the schoolhouse to vote on the new schoolhouse. Graduation standards were noted as several Delta children received diplomas from the Normal with Pearl and Mary Robb and Nellie Waite among the graduates. A meteor-like object startled G S Hensly's family, and a box car fire near the depot destroyed the car and nearby baled hay with unknown origin.
Fort Lupton notes report Mrs G R Vicekroy and her son James left for an extended visit at Pueblo. The Lupton Bottom Ditch Co works on a cement dam near Dry Creek. Wm Winbourne builds a cement block house on Leaver street between Seventh and Eighth. Charles Schroeder captured by Boulder authorities after theft report. Prohibition party secretary C P Hopkins lectures on Christian Citizenship at M E church. Ladies Aid Society hosts a large dinner at W S Falkenberg residence with Mrs Falkenberg and others assisting.
Esther Ross plans a Colorado Springs vacation while G. K. Carson heads there for the summer. The Evans school board hires Schutz, Ross, Knight, and Moreland for the coming year. Mrs. Kester funeral held at the Methodist church with graveside interment at Platteville.
Rev. Hardy of Arvada preached to the Baptist people at Randolph's hall Sunday afternoon. W. J. Henderson injured in Archer Bros fire last week is recovering and about again. Miss Jessie Todd returned home after visiting Windsor friends. Mrs. O I King taken to Mercy hospital Denver for appendicitis operation with Mr King Dr Carlson and Mr and Mrs Albert Nichols accompanying.
Miss Etta Coffman visits relatives in Denver while H H Bills and his wife stay in Eaton at week’s end. Andrew Smiley and family head to Canada for the summer. Myrna Laybourn returns to Windsor after Eaton visit. A J Eaton packs goods for a move to Los Angeles for several years. Wm Sheer remodels his house. M Baid society hosts a 165 cent tea at Mrs Hughes home, adding to the church fund.
Frank Cipson has begun cabbage cultivation and beet crops were replanted after late storms. Robert Boyd Jr. tends stock at Pierce while Reuben Martinson assists on the McClenahan ranch as the Poudre river rises. The Martinsons hosted a sizeable coffee gathering with neighbors including Mrs Creener and others from Greeley and LaGrange.
Miss Lizzie Wiggett attended the silver anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. Alderson in Erie last week. Mrs. Garret, visiting her sister Mrs. R. Pritchard for months, returned to Maitland last week.
Wayne Duvall of Lucerne is progressing well after a broken limb. Misses Alice Chestnut and Nellie Chestnut visit their sister Mrs. Art Davis. A group gathered at Mr. Athey’s home to celebrate Miss Martha Mierrendorf’s eighteenth birthday with a pleasant evening reported by attendees.
Lyster English's foot heals slowly and he still uses crutches. Mr. and Mrs. Will Van Sickle of Greeley visited Mr. Ford on Saturday. H Eldridge’s little boy suffered a crushed finger in the wringer. Eva Ford plans a Denver trip Thursday to visit relatives. The school closed with a fine Saturday night program. three eighth graders graduated. Mr. McCullough, filling in for Mr. Harrison, gave the diplomas. teachers were asked to stay another year.

Miss Katie Devery returned from Akron. Joe Nessler left for Denver to work in carpentry. H P Hill attended Woodmen decoration services at Greeley cemetery on Sunday.

Emeline Foreman of 1415 Tenth Street died Tuesday from complications of diseases. The funeral was held at First Presbyterian with Rev. R. J. Hunter officiating. She leaves seven children, five in Colorado, including Mrs. Frank Hatch of Pleasant Valley and J. R. Foreman. The article also details a traveling show’s dining operations and staff.
Antelope Park selects Miss Merri and Miss Callie Lincoln to teach at the school next year. Little Willie Swartz suffered a facial cut last week requiring stitches after a fall from a box. Mrs. Peter Oleson wife of the Kersey blacksmith dropped dead yesterday morning. Further particulars were not obtainable at press time.
