The Tribune sponsors another Boulder Park trip on Friday June 30 over the Moffat road for the Greeley band. About 200 readers enjoyed the last ride. this year promises better scenery. Highlights include fishing at Boulder Park, a dancing pavilion, and a Rollins Pass excursion nearly 12 000 feet high. Halina Morgan Sold to Joe Barnett of Albuquerque
M. H. Morgan sold his bay filly Halina Morgan a three year old mare by Due Hal 2:28 to Joe Barnett of Albuquerque for 2500. The sale includes a 100 premium from A L Camp Jr for colts sired by Due Hal. The mare, foaled June 1902, raced at Cheyenne and is connected to The Red Bird Stock Farm and Angeline dam line.

French Academy hears on hail suppression by cannons

The Pleasant Valley farmers league decided last Saturday to stage the first annual Fourth of July picnic at a grove in the area. In the evening neighbors will gather on Mrs. E A Hopkins’s lawn to view fireworks ending the day’s fun. The lawn offers an open space between trees for a semicircular seating arrangement.

Weld county highwaymen capture ends in jail
Deputy Sheriff Paul Gregory nabbed three suspects after a series of holdups along the Platte near Evans and LaSalle. The men, named Richard Barry Walter LaRue and John Cummings, were bound over for trial in district court. Victims included Manuel M. Silva J L Hartman and Joe Springer. The trio faced arrest at the depot with weapons drawn, but Gregory's swift actions led to their transfer to Greeley for trial. An excursion fundraiser follows with scenic Colorado pictures sold by the Tribune office.

City of Lights for Greeley to Install Arc and Gas Lamps
Greeley city council adjourned meeting last Thursday approved four arc lights and fourteen gas lights to improve the city’s lighting. Mr and Mrs H T West celebrated their sixtieth wedding anniversary with 100 guests calling to honor them.
