At a meeting of the Catholic Ladies Aid society held at Adolph Spies office Mrs Frank Ilsenbust was elected president for the remainder of the year. Plans were made for renewing activities of the society. Arthur Cur patient at University hospital Iowa City improves slowly after March 22 auto accident leaving her temporarily paralyzed with fractured vertebrae.

Ole Wicks Dies in Graettinger Rites Held for Norwegian Sailor
The Rev Julius J Masted officiated at funeral services for Ole Wicks in Graettinger with many neighbors in attendance. Memorial offerings totaled 214 for the deceased. Interment followed at the parish cemetery east of Gradlinger. Wicks, born September 7 1862 in Matrefjord Norway, married Milda Tansen in 1904 and lived in Norway for four years before sailing as a merchant sailor for much of his life.
