The Turner Circle gathered Tuesday at Ms. Jess Turner’s home with Mrs. Geneva Stevens present. Mrs. Wilson led devotions and Mrs. Finley gave a talk on India and health issues, noting income levels, sanitation problems, malnutrition, and calls for health education and family planning. Twelve members attended.
Members of the Shirley Ditmore Group of the First Baptist Church met Tuesday morning at 9 30 in the home of Mrs Jimmy Caldwell. The meeting opened with prayer by Mrs B F Risinger Jr. The prayer calendar was read and general business discussed. The book Bill Wallace of China was reviewed by Mrs Pat Fox. Refreshments were served to nine members.

Local groups meet Oct 17 OES 831 at 7:30 p.m., Oct 19 Three Arts Club at 2:30 p.m., and Daleth Study Club at 2 p.m. at Mrs. H. C. Smith’s home.
The Happy Blue Birds met for the first time this year in September with Delight Johnson hosting and a birthday singage. They created terrariums and explored Camp Natowa on a later October meeting, led by Mrs. E A McDonald and Mrs Reynolds. other members and hosts contributed refreshments and travel help. The Trapping Blue Birds toured Aunt Kathryn's Dolls, enjoyed cookies, and planned sessions at Mrs. Darrell Summers home with Mrs. Charles Baggett supervising transportation and drinks. Next meeting is October 27 at the Camp Fire Center with Morrison reviewing Eleanor and Franklin. A Bible study club meets October 24 at 2 p.m. at Mrs Loyce Phillips home.
