Jolly Dozen Club Ends Meeting With Picnic At Lake Gladewater
Members of the Jolly Dozen Club held their final meeting of the year at Mrs. C. R. Roberts home in Lake Gladewater. Hostesses were Mrs. Roland Blissett and Mrs. H. H. Krumm. Guests included Mrs. R. L. Addington, with others present. The group shared hobby ideas, donated Honey Toys materials for lap robes and caddy bags for area nursing homes, and announced the September meeting will be at Mrs. Rodgers’ home. The day included a picnic lunch, boating and fishing.

GHS survey reveals student spending wishes on cars homes and more
Gladewater High School students answered a survey on what they would buy with a windfall. Half chose a car, 27.5 percent a new home, 12.5 percent clothes, with responses listing specific students. Other desires included a computer, a public address system, a boat, a horse, island purchase, and peace.
