Art Guild Plans First Session In Pine Acres May 27
Mrs Robbie Gaddis leads a newly formed Art Guild inviting all interested in art to a planning meeting on May 27 at Pine Acres Community Center. The group, meeting the second and fourth Tuesdays, will cover topics from proper material care to ink drawings with members supplying their own materials and a $5 yearly dues. First meeting May 13 elected Mrs Gaddis as chair and officers Linda Bryant Marion Mattox Opal Mecey Lelia Nagle. 11 members attended.

Wesleyan Guild Holds Annual Picnic Meeting
Wesleyan Service Guild members and guests gathered at the Lake Gladewater home of Mr and Mrs Grady Coleman for the annual picnic and covered dish supper. Mrs Roy Pynes awarded a life membership to Mrs Hamilton Jenkins and honored Miss Daisy Heard with a scarf and pin for longtime service as secretary reporter and charter member. This was the Guilds final meeting. activities resume in September.

Tuesday Bible Club Installs New Officers
Members met at the home of Mrs. Lara Fowler and Mr. and Mrs. Alton Coats for a spring themed picnic and installation of officers signaling the end of the club year. Mrs. Ellen Bauman led the service and Mrs. J. C. Bowen joined as a new member amid pastel decor and a noon covered dish lunch. Guests included Mrs. George Hudson and many attendees listed. Rhodesia to switch to metric system by not later than 1971 to align with South Africa.
