El Cinco de Mayo observed by Gladewater High students
Gladewater High School Spanish students staged a classroom reenactment of the Cinco de Mayo battle, using old rifles and a scripted tale of Mexican victory over French forces. Los Acapulquenos led by Wayne Shott won the class contest as instructor C. W. Dawson presided.
