Starrville 4-H Meeting Focuses on Record Books and Safety
The Starrville 4-H club met Wednesday at 3:45 in the Williams home. Senior members worked on Money Management record books while juniors discussed hiking camping and swimming safety rules. Audrey Williams will report on summer camp activities next meeting. STATE PARKS FRANKFORT Ky. Parks Commissioner Ewart Johnson says Kentucky will stop building large resort type parks and improve current facilities. He also aims to cut food and labor costs to bring state parks in line with private operations.

The Texas Conservation Foundation approved purchase of about three acres of the Marysee Prairie in Liberty County for 4882.50 dollars. Located on Highway 162 between Batson and Moss Hill, the prairie is part of a near vanished grassland belt once seen across Texas.
