Services for Jesse E. Barnes Held in Gladewater
Funeral services for Jesse E. Barnes were conducted Saturday at 11 am at St. James Baptist Church in Gladewater. Barnes, a retired railroad worker, had returned to Gladewater from Ft. Worth 13 years ago and is survived by his wife Matilda Barnes, a foster daughter Katherine Johnson Barnes, three sisters Mable Hawley Ozella Johnson and Eliza Perry of Los Angeles, two brothers Otis Barnes of Dallas and Reuben Barnes of Gladewater, and grandchildren Eugene Williams Michelle Williams Angenetta Cole and Delores Cole of Dallas and Gladewater.
