After an executive committee meeting the Gladewater Centennial Corporation outlined a week of events from July 28 to August 4. Highlights include coronation ceremonies, a parade, religious observances, youth activities, contests, tours, and the closing 200 Year Capsule burial with a fireworks finale at Lake Gladewater.

Centennial Coronation Ball Held At Gladewater High
The Gladewater Centennial Coronation Ball takes place Saturday July 28 from 8 p.m. to midnight on the high school patio. Admission is 2.50 for a single or 5 for a couple with crowning at 10 p.m. Concert by Ambassador College band and Rambling Rose Square Dance Club present special entertainment. Tickets sold at Centennial Headquarters or through Coronation Ball committee members. Benjamin Franklin quote closes the notice.
