Eighteen more of Fulton county's workers are called to serve in the army as the Boy Scouts escort them from the courthouse to the York Central station. Relatives gather to bid them God speed and remind all that War Savings Stamps are for everyone not just children.
May Milk payments totaled $84,390.72 to Patten and Heery County Dairymen. Chamberlain received the largest single check for $940.05. A list shows only checks of $50.00 or more.
Probate court lists marriage licenses and real estate transfers. Common Pleas Court reports new cases including Russell Martin and Bowes Gamber. Real estate transfers show S Dayell to James Fisher and other entries with amounts noted.

In Ohio this past Friday morning James Drennan lost a horse while Jacob Souder’s buggy and harness vanished. Loot included carpentry tools from Kite School House. Sheriff Boone located the thief three miles east of Oak Shade, with horses hitched to a blanket taken from John Gorsuch’s barn. The young suspect Frank Riemer, who claims Rose City Michigan ties, awaits corroboration before action.
