Destructive Storm Sunday Hits Wauseon Area Crops

A Sunday afternoon storm swept across a 24% mile wide territory west and south of Wauseon causing extensive crop damage. John Weber George Writticher Thomas Robinson and others reported losses including 40 acres of corn destroyed and 36 acres of wheat damaged. Pettisville gardens suffered ruin with estimates around 600 on one farm and substantial losses on others. The storm brought large hail and heavy winds, with widespread impact on oats barley and garden crops.

Open Air Union Services Planned at Methodist Church
