The Wauseon Boy Scouts Band under director Kowhler earns praise for organized progress and plans open air concerts. Local business supporters help fund instruments and performances as the group grows toward statewide recognition this summer.
At a council meeting in Wauseon the Water Works Board discussed conditions of the village water supply. Mr Lyon outlined planned improvements including five deep wet pumps and added pipes to increase water flow by about fifty percent. Officials warned current output remains far below requirements and urged immediate action.
Former Fulton County boy Aden Wald, son of Mr and Mrs LF Wald, now of Wilson, serves aboard USS Taylor escorting President Wilson into Brest harbor. Family notes his naval service from Newark to Mare Island and Virginia, and a sister report of plans to meet the president on the Fifth. The ship boasts 33 knots speed, about 45 mph, among the fastest in the fleet.

Aeschliman, president of Fulton County Threshermen, was killed in a London Ohio electric railway crash last Monday. Five died and several others injured as a car ran off the track and struck buildings. His body reached Lena by express on Wednesday, and funeral services were held January 17 at the home and East Clinton A M Church.
