In a May 1917 to September 1918 dispute at Fayette the Metcalf and Yost printing office clash led to a damage suit for 4500. The Jan term jury returned a verdict for Metcalf at 1000, after a trial that exposed internal office tensions and billing woes. Ten jurors joined the verdict.
