Daniel King 38 was fatally struck by a Toledo and Indiana freight car while working on the T and I track west of Wauseon near the Robinson crossing. Foreman Johnson survived. King died after ambulance transport to Wauseon hospital. Funeral held at Newman church. He leaves one son Roy and siblings Christ, John, and two sisters. King had worked for the Toledo and Indiana Railway about two decades.

The January term of the Common Pleas Court opened Monday with the grand jury in session for two days. Ten cases were presented, twenty witnesses testified, and seven true bills were reported including three for statutory rape, two for attempted rape, one for incest, and one for failure to provide for a child. Foreman F A Griffin led, urging firm, just action to protect future citizens. The Petit Jury will convene January 20. A musical treat follows, as the Bertha Farner Co will perform Friday night at the High School Assembly Room in Wauseon, with reserved seats at Fink and Haumesser’s.
