Records of Visitors Week in Fulton County Schools

Rural school reports show 1347 patrons visited during Visitings Week. Highlights include Louise Gottschalk York township 82 and Ross Shafer Elmira Special T7. Delta led in overall attendance at 98.4 percent. District No. 5 Gorham Mabel VanFossen led with 99.26 percent.

Boosters Club Meets at T and L Hall with Van Camp reps

Wauseon Booster Club held its regular December meeting last Monday evening at T and L Hall. Van Camp Company representatives attended to discuss milk market stability at the Wauseon Condensary. The club agreed to co sponsor half the cost of a Community Christmas Tree with the Civic Club and to continue assisting the project.

State Apple Show Showcased Varieties And Spraying Value

Ralph Howard of Pike Township reports on an annual apple show held December 9 to 11 under horticulture and forestry students. Premiums totaled 425 dollars, large for Ohio State Shows, with 35 students and 10 growers competing. The display featured King David Ensee Bonum Lenville Boiken Arkansas Pattern Greening Huntsman Rabbit Bayard, plus Michigan varieties. Demonstrations covered spraying fruit trees, canning and salads from fruit, and warnings about pests and unsprayed apples. The event highlighted Ohio leading in fruit production among neighboring states.

Death of Howard Figg in Wauseon

Howard Figg aged nineteen died Sunday at his sister Mrs Krauss home on East Chestnut street after leaving Tiffany's drug store in Toledo two months ago. Born in Wauseon he lived here except for three and a half years in Adrian and Toledo. Funeral services were held Tuesday at the First Christian church with Rev J A Wharton officiating. burial in Wauseon cemetery beside his sisters. Survived by his mother two brothers and one sister. He was a member of the Christian church.

Death of John Crall at Wauseon and local notices

John Crall died at his East Chestnut Street home on Wednesday December Sth. Funeral services were held Friday at 11 with Rev. J. A. Wharton officiating. Born August 10 1837 in Harrisburg PA he spent years in Bucyrus and Adrian MI before settling in Wauseon. He married Mary A. Ferrall June 10 1869 and after her death married Mary C. Stevenson in 1866. Survived by five living children Clark Earl Lawrence Lee and Cilla and three brothers and one sister. He joined the Christian church over fifty years ago and died hopeful of a better life beyond.
