Firefighters responded to a faulted motor heater at the East School building, evacuating students in under four minutes while praising the quick drill and trained staff. A separate blaze at the Joe DeLana residence on Willow Street caused about 800 dollars in damage to the building and similar losses to household goods due to an overheated furnace.

Booster Club Meeting in Wauseon Promotes Community Welfare

Village Council Meets With Bonds Accepted And Transfers Planned
The December regular meeting reviewed bonds for the newly elected village officers to be organized January first 1916. The clerk was instructed to seek depositories for village funds and the sinking fund. Residents protested speeding on West Leggett Street and cattle driving on boulevards, with the speeding issue referred to the Marshal.

Wauseon Plans Community Christmas Tree Event
Civic Club and Boosters Club with churches, schools, and residents coordinating a city wide Community Christmas Tree. George Collins will donate the tree and the Toledo and Indiana Railway will provide lighting power. The event on Christmas Eve includes carolers, a school orchestra, and a program under teacher direction. The tree will be on Fulton Street near the Arcade and lit at 8 15 p m with nightly illumination through New Year and open houses for all.
