Chancellor Carroll blesses statues at St. Joseph's Parish

Rt. Rev. Thomas F. Carroll chancellor of the New York archdiocese presided at the blessing of new statues in St. Joseph's Church before an 10:30 high mass. Rev. Theodore Jozwiak preached in Polish and Monsignor Carroll urged parishioners to be loyal Americans and faithful Catholics.

Gailey and VanSickle Married in Florida Nuptial Mass

Miss Josephine A Gailey daughter of Mrs Elizabeth Nice of Ferris street and Clarence J VanSickle of Pine Island were united in marriage at St Josephs Church in Florida Monday morning. Rev C A Nowasodka performed the ceremony at 9 oclock with a large attendance. The bride wore a beaded gown over white satin and a cap shaped veil. Attendants included maid of honor Miss Anna M Karas and bridesmaids Misses Minnie and Gertrude VanSickle and Miss Anna Kusek. Flower girls were Emma HE Riley and Frances Straub. Best man was Anthony J Gailey. ushers Michael A Karas Norman J Heart and Stephen Nowak. A reception followed at the bride’s mothers home and the couple will reside at Pine Island.

James M. Horton Dies at Home in Wallkill

James M. Horton died Tuesday night at the Horton homestead in the Maples Town of Wallkill in his 77th year. He was born August 8, 1853 at the Horton Homestead, son of Timothy W and Sarah A Beyea Horton. Survived by three brothers Chauncey E and Semore Horton of Newark city W A Horton of Seardale. one sister Mrs Ella Beyea at home. Funeral Friday at 2 pm at his home with Elder Kerr officiating. Interment in Piiside Cemetery.
