A truck driven by Frank DeLuco skidded off the road near the High View Creamery, overturning in a hotel garden and spilling 900 quarts of milk. DeLuco and his father were involved. the father suffered a hand cut. The truck was damaged lightly and milk was redirected to a garage and later by another DeLuco truck.
American Express workers in Middletown await a board of arbitrators report on a 12 percent pay raise demand. The panel, hearing evidence in New York City, faces opposition from Lewie Gwyn vice president who cites wartime injuries inflation and unprofitable contracts as reasons the raise cannot be granted.
