Monroe talent presents Princess Bonnie a Spanish American musical comedy at the Community House with a cast led by Miss Elaise Vannery and Louis Dook. The show on January 14 and 15 features a twenty-voice chorus and Spanish dance numbers, proceeds benefiting Community House upkeep.
Begin work on the hall of the Mombasha Fire Company in Monroe with removal of old loaders and gutters and a new roof to be installed. Also notes residents recovering from injuries and local staffing changes at area businesses. The fire company basketball team to face Chester in the hall on Thursday January 14 at 8 15 with dancing to follow.
Chancellor Imer E. Brown of New York University conferred the honorary Master of Letters on Mrs E Henry Harriman for her services as an intimate bearer of memories of an American statesman. The ceremony took place in Gould Memorial Library rotunda University Heights before faculty and council members.
