Mrs E Curtis postpones the 55th wedding anniversary party at the E I Bowe home due to her 74 year old condition. She suffers a bad cold and is cared for at the Curtis home on Twenty Second and Dakota Avenue South. The couple, pioneer South Dakota residents, wed March 4 1875 in Ripon Wisconsin and later settled near Yankton and Centerville before moving to Huron.

Veteran Barr Missing. Sailed India to Europe Trip Planned
Mr Barr, a longtime C e i veteran logistics engineer, left Huron in September and sailed from India January 29 with his son Ralph Barr, a Standard Oil plant superintendent in Madras. They toured southern India and Egypt, then planned Europe and the British Isles. He is due back in Huron between April 15 and May 1. The letter to Mr Kelley was mailed from the ship in February and reached New York a month later.
