Women Tuesday title Flower Band F to meet this week

A series of club and lodge meetings are listed for Wednesday and Thursday across Huron area. Four Runaways From Plankinton Held In Brookings

Four youths from the state training school at Plankinton, along with a stolen car, were captured in Brookings and surrounding areas. Walter Voight of Brookings and Bernard Sanders of Aberdeen were arrested locally, with Harold Wohlert of Wagner and Harold Hoyt of Milbank detained next morning. The group is linked to a car theft at Mitchell Saturday night.

City Briefs Recap of family visits and travels across towns

Miss Renee Weelyach returned from attending her grandfather William Laurinet's funeral. Willow Lake visitors included Mr and Mrs Herman Huisenga Mrs Mary Ridents and Ernest, and Mr and Mrs Earl Edleman and family, plus Mr and Mrs William Thaden and family of Bancroft. Roy zum Brunnen plans a Minneapolis return later this week after visiting his parents. Weekend trips included Mr and Mrs Ed Miedema with Ernest Glanz to the Blacks, and Belcom Dukes and William McGillivrey from Huron returning from St Paul. Mrs J T Paulson traveled to San Diego to join her ill sister. Numerous dinners and visits occurred across Aberdeen Yale Winner and Wessington. Birth announced for Joe Joynt's son in Zell.

Family and travel notes mix of births and deaths

Andrew Ross left yesterday for Berkeley Ca. Mr. and Mrs. Donald Ross and family began a Yellowstone trip. A daughter weighing five pounds thirteen ounces was born to Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Brekke in Watertown July 24. Mrs. Brekke was Myrtle Garrett of Huron. John Hogan of Mitchell visited his mother in the city. LeRoy Miller and family attended the funeral of Arthur Miller, 78, a former councilman and four-year state legislator. The pelican rookery near Royal Shoals in Pamlico Sound NC is the northernmost.
