State to resurf ace 250 miles of highways in county projects

Former Tulare Pastor Dies After Heart Disease
The Rev. Max Kurshat, former pastor of the Evangelical church of Tulare, died of heart disease July 2. He lived in New York City for the past five years and is survived by his widow and two children, a daughter and a son.

Miner County Livestock Club judges horses cattle hogs and sheep

Brookings July 19 A total of 2768 diagnoses of diseased animals and fowls from across South Dakota were made by the Animal Health Laboratory at South Dakota State College in the past year. The report lists specimen categories including parts of animals and fowls 226 swine 210 entire fowls 716 miscellaneous 147 sheep and lambs 38 and blood samples 1498. Blood diagnoses aimed to detect contagious abortion in cows.
