August Tams Dies Prominent Huron Hotel Owner
August Tams owner of the Royal hotel and a director of the Farmers & Merchants bank died at his home on Nebraska Avenue after two months of serious illness due to heart disease. He came to Huron in 1901 from Chamberlain and built a civic minded career as a furniture dealer, hotelier, and real estate investor. The widow Barbara Albrecht survives. services at the Presbyterian church will be held Saturday.

Holds Rites For Miner Farmer Awalt Hageman
Funeral services for Awalt Hageman 42 a prominent Miner county farmer were held here. A short service was held at the farm home and rites from the German Lutheran church followed at 2 p.m. Burial was in the local cemetery. He died Sunday after a serious operation in Madison. Surviving are a wife and six children. He was recognized for stock raising with high state fair exhibit ratings in Huron and served on the Miner county fair board.

Wolsey Woman Succumbs at 50
Mrs. Wilfred Minium 60 prominent resident of Wolsey died this morning in a Wessington hospital from complications after a major operation two weeks earlier. Surviving are her husband three children one brother and two sisters. She grew up in the Wolsey community and came here at age five. Funeral arrangements were not yet finalized.

Charles Forepaugh longtime founder of the Forepaugh circus died at his daughter Mrs. C W Matlack home in West Berlin New Jersey.
