Second Farm Tour Planned By SCS After Harvest

Franklin Monroe Hollister died at his home on 15 Glenn Avenue Northwest after a stroke four weeks earlier. Born April 14 1872 in Illinois, he worked 23 years for the city of Huron as night engineer in the water department. Survived by widow, three sons Marion Minnesota George Illinois Merle Huron. two daughters Mia Vernella Dili Kansas and Margaret Smith Haran. sister Mrs Alice Andrews Audubon Iowa. 12 grandchildren. Mrs. Marguerite Sankey 70 died at her home 664 Colorado Avenue Southwest after a long illness. Born November 20 1860 in Flintshire North Wales she came to the United States in 1872 and has lived in Huron since 1902. Survived by son Bert L. Sankey daughter Georgia Sankey two sisters and a brother. Funeral services Monday at Welter Chapel conducted by Rev A L Johnson of St Stephen’s Episcopal De Smet. Burial in Aberdeen beside her husband Lee Sankey who died September 1927.

Three Die in Missouri Sawmill Boiler Explosion

Bucharest reports Mihail Manoiliscu received invitation to Berlin to press Romania's stance on Transylvania. Tornado Strikes South of Winona

A tornado struck near Mabel Minnesota about fifty miles south of Winona last night. No fatalities reported though 35 dams and houses were wrecked and farm buildings leveled. Communication with the stricken area was out this afternoon. The storm ripped through a twenty mile area with heavy rain and some hail. Several head of livestock were killed.
