The Rescue Hose Company's new pavilion hosted a large joyful Hallowe'en masquerade ball by St James Episcopal for Sun day School benefits. Fire company volunteers finished the hall, a grand mask march started at 9 30 with lavish costumes, school choir and solo performances, a cafetaria supper and dancing kept proceeds rising to praise the event as a great success.

Eureka Mining News Hol ly Shaft Connects to Bullwhacker Drifts
At the Holly shaft 430 foot level a drift breach into the Williamsburg drift last Saturday enables track laying toward the Bullwhacker. The plan is to ship ore from Bullwhacker via Holly before holidays. A high grade ore streak was found on the 400 foot level, with four carloads ready for the new mill plant. Water at Locan shaft 1200 foot level held by bailers, expected extra stations, exploration on 900 level and above shows promising ore and some shipments this week.
