Oil lands holdings at risk under new lease law
Hundreds of claimants on Government placer lands will lose holdings when the oil lease bill takes effect. Only those actively pursuing discovery and diligent work may keep claims. annual assessments alone do not suffice. Chief agent J H Favorite says claims not within relief provisions are valueless unless discovery occurred before Feb 25, 1920 or diligent work was ongoing. An application to lease under the new law is required to retain any rights.

Restaurants Cut Price In Chicago District
Restaurants in the business district cut seven standard orders by five cents today, part of a chain. The cost drop is said to stem from elimination of wastage. A Federal grand jury will investigate restaurant profits. Items reduced include Soup to five cents and Beef stew to fifteen.
