Death of Abram Laird in Eureka district aged 72

Abram Laird died at County Hospital Eureka after a long illness due to liver cirrhosis. Survived by widow and six children, he was active in Masons and Eastern Star. Funeral Sunday at 3 pm from the family home under Beatific Lodge K of P Eureka.

Life pension granted to injured Divide miner

A life pension of $40 per month was granted to John Obert by the Nevada Industrial Commission. Obert suffered fractures in both legs when a partner fell into a hole at a Divide property. He has permanent eye injuries and prior blindness in one eye.
