Mrs Hannah Pratt longtime Palisade resident died Friday morning from age related illness at Eureka County Hospital. She was 98 and survived by son Charles and daughter Mee M Doolittle of Grand Junction Colorado, one of 14 siblings. Remains prepared for shipment to Palisade and left on today’s train for burial in the family plot.

Ely May 12 L W Fristoe, convicted of killing Constable Ar lunar St Clair in Deeth on February 20, is sentenced to life imprisonment in Nevada. He claims self defense as St Clair and another officer pursued him with Joe Bell, who faces murder charges. St Clair died instantly and his fellow officer died days later from a head wound.
