William Henry Andrews born May 8 1844 in Henry County Indiana died April 15 1920 aged 75 years 11 months 7 days. Civil War veteran served two years in Co B Eleventh Indiana Cavalry fought at Gettysburg. Enlisted September 24 1863 discharged September 15 1866. He leaves a wife and children and was remembered as a kind neighbor and faithful husband.

Death of Palisade Resident Mrs Hannah Pratt

Mrs Hannah Pratt longtime Palisade resident died Friday morning from age related illness at Eureka County Hospital. She was 98 and survived by son Charles and daughter Mee M Doolittle of Grand Junction Colorado, one of 14 siblings. Remains prepared for shipment to Palisade and left on today’s train for burial in the family plot.

Slayer Fristoe Receives Life Sentence in Deeth Murder

Ely May 12 L W Fristoe, convicted of killing Constable Ar lunar St Clair in Deeth on February 20, is sentenced to life imprisonment in Nevada. He claims self defense as St Clair and another officer pursued him with Joe Bell, who faces murder charges. St Clair died instantly and his fellow officer died days later from a head wound. Bell led officers to Potatoe's location after giving himself up at Bly.
