Tragic New York Murder Suicides At Hotel Griffon
L. G. Hampton assistant secretary of United States Trust Company shot and killed Victoria Taczkow at the Hotel Griffon on West Ninth street then killed himself. Hampton, 60, left a wife and two children. Taczkow, 25, lived with her father and invalid mother and worked in a Fifth avenue department store. Police identify the murdered woman by her initials on jewelry. The couple registered as Mr and Mrs Sinelas of Burlington Vermont.

SINK MULKEY DROWNED IN WASHINGTON
W Mulkey a Lane county native and brother of B G Mulkey and Mrs Marquise was drowned at Sedro Woolley Washington yesterday. He and two men Simpson and Jowell capsized on the swollen Skagit river during a rowing trip. All three died. Mulkey left a wife and three children. Mrs Marquiss and her sister Mrs West traveled from Eastern Oregon to Sedro-Woolley for the funeral.
