Henry and Mrs Pomeroy visited son Albert in Liverpool. Photographer Karles W Sebeide won first prize at the ninth annual Biographers' Association of Ohio convention at Put-in-Bay. prize medal features his full name and address on one side and the association monogram on the reverse. The eight cherubs and three portraits formed the prize-winning set.

A sparsely attended Tuesday council session extended late. A petition from Broad Street property owners seeks asphalt paving. Eckler gains sewer connection approval. The city discusses L& E railway bill obligations, bridge funds from the county, and the need for a stenographer.
Ohio state sponsored scholarships grant tuition and dues for one student per county to enter the two year agricultural program at Ohio State University. Korain County’s scholarship is vacant for the coming year. interested youths should contact the county agricultural association secretary and Dean Thomas Hunt at Ohio State for details. Numerous applicant names and ages from nearby towns are listed in the notice.
Probate court admits the will of Stephen Falk of Avon. Executors named are John Schedel and Mary Deibler of Cleveland. Will of Anna R. Tibball filed for probate with Susie E. Farrar of Oberlin as trustee and T. H. Rowland and E. D. Dye as sureties.

A 73 person special train to the national encampment of the G A R leaves Elyria on Saturday afternoon from Lake Shore station. Notables include Mayor Reefy with badges and ribbons, Paul Blanchard, and Charley Spring with large baggage. Six more excursion tickets were sold Sunday, mostly to out of town veterans. Frances J Boston of Cleveland plans to teach piano this coming season in Elyria.
