The Ohio Baptist Education Society and Denison University president Dr. Emory W. Hurst contributed afternoon and evening addresses. The state convention began with Rev. George W. Johnson delivering the annual sermon and announced plans for five district missionaries and a vigorous evangelistic campaign in state counties and small towns.
