Drunk Man Almost Hit by Streetcar Near Lorain

Land Company's Night Watchman Attacked by Hungarians
Oliver Kearney night watchman for the Shefeld Land Company East of Olive street was beaten and stabbed after a confrontation with four Hungarians at a steel plant. He lay in Lorain hospital with a skull wound and knife cuts as police hunted the assailants through the woods. E G Smith aided Kearney but fled for help when ammunition ran out. both men were badly injured, with Smith losing part of a cartilage and Kearney a gash on the skull. The attackers fled and remained at large early Monday morning.
