Indicted Oak Point man faces liquor sale charges

Joseph Blinsey of Oak Point was indicted by the grand jury for selling intoxicating liquor on Sunday under a local option township. An arraignment is planned in a few days with defendants ready to plead guilty or not guilty to the charges.

Amherst Constable Arrested in Fracas Inquiry

Amherst constable Laurence Hermann faced the justices Wednesday evening on charges of assaulting George Behroeder and Peter Kote in a Septem ber 11 fracas. He was released after it emerged he acted as a peace officer in his township and Schroeder failed to disclose this when securing the constable’s arrest.

Man jailed after drunken assault in Syracuse street

A intoxicated man punched strangers on a Syracuse street and was placed under arrest by Constable Cahoon on Thursday afternoon. After sobering up, he was released and ordered to leave town within fifteen minutes.

Mrs. Edward Gillin of Cleveland died Tuesday from paralysis. She was well known in the city. The funeral was held at noon Thursday with interment at the local place cemetery.

Elyria Man Gerry Shot at by Drunken Austrian in Lorain

Dan Gerry an Elyria man living on West Broad street was shot in the wrist by an Austrian drunken assailant in South Lorain on Wednesday afternoon. The wound is not serious. Ninth annual Ohio Library Association meeting heads to Elyria Oberlin

The ninth annual meeting of the Ohio Library Association will be held in Elyria next Tuesday and Wednesday and in Oberlin on Thursday with Miss L E Stern of the Wisconsin Free Library Commission as the principal speaker. Sessions take place at the First Congregational church in Elyria and the First church in Oberlin. A reception is set for Ellis' hall on Tuesday evening and President Thwing of Western Reserve University may speak Thursday about the new library school to be started in Cleveland. The meetings are open to the public and all interested are invited to attend. One local committee hopes the Elyria gathering becomes a great success.
