Judge Grants Divorce to Pearl V Stainbrook

Judge Webber granted a divorce to Mrs Pearl V Stainbrook on Friday. The court found the husband's guilt of extreme cruelty and adultery as admitted by his failure to appear. Pearl Pierce Stainbrook was restored her maiden name and awarded $3000 alimony in monthly $25 installments plus costs.

Conference to Hold Semicentennial Meeting in Elyria

The Cleveland Conference will hold its semicentennial meeting with the Viret Congregational church in Elyria on October 27 and 28, one week later than its usual schedule. The American Missionary Association will meet in Cleveland at the same time. The program committee has prepared an excellent program, and the fiftieth annual meeting is expected to be the largest the conference has ever held.

Ohio to release ladybugs against San Jose scale in orchards

State entomologist A J Burgle plans a statewide program to introduce Chinese ladybugs to combat the San Jose scale attacking peach trees. Some insects were released in an Ottawa county Danbury orchard to test adaptation to Ohio winters before broader cultivation and liberation in peach orchards statewide.

Grand Jury Fails to Indict Group in Colorent Arrests

Reports say the grand jury failed to indict several people arrested around Lorain in 420 on charges of attempting to administer drugs. John Chinn is named as a person under arrest. Days later the grand jury publicized its findings and the county jail learned of a plan to free prisoners, but the sheriff thwarted the scheme.
