Small North Street Fire Extinguished Quickly
Saturday morning at about ten o clock the fire department fought a minor blaze on North street. A spark from a locomotive touched the shingles of Joseph Thompson’s residence but the fire was put out before damaging the act boards. Damages estimated at five dollars. The chemical engine handled the blaze and was on scene six minutes after the alarm.
