A. L. Jackson proprietor of the Jackson hotel was arrested for violating Sunday aqua law after Officer Zarake raided a backyard basement beer tap. Seven men were left behind. three fled from a coal chute. Jackson pleaded guilty and was fined $30 by Mayor Chanman.

Wanted police to settle bill
Wil Dewey of Oberlin hauled a load from Wood's lumber yard on Saturday then tried to reclaim a load of wet goods but stalled in a booze shop. Police detained the team at the Biyria Livery barn.
