A charity ball game on Wednesday between merchants from the north and south sides of Broad Street drew about 300 spectators to Elyria hospital. The north side led by roughly two points with an improvised score of 17 to 1 in eight innings before a dispute between Captain Den uia Seward and the score keeper halted play. The 108rd OVI plans its annual reunion at Randall's Grove August 1–2, led by M. FB Hulet of Alabama as president and Charles Chandler as secretary.

Dr Paul Fischer state veterinary surgeon says twenty five of the twenty eight horses quarantined at Lorain three weeks ago due to glanders must be killed. An appraisal by Clyde Matthews and Orville Root valued each horse, including a 1800 pound bay mare, at Rochsater 10.
