Miss Elsie Sebren a waitress at the Palm Garden Bowling Alley and saloon in Lorain attempted to end her life with laudanum on Wednesday morning. She is reported to have left a farewell letter to Lawrence Whitman, owner of the saloon, and was taken to the hospital after rescue.

Death of John McKenna Inspsator at National Tube Company
John McKenna of West Bridge street died at Cleveland hospital on Monday from Brights disease after a two week illness. He was born in Ireland fifty eight years ago and came to Johnstown Pennsylvania as a child. He worked as a machinist and inspector, ran his own shop before the Johnstown flood, then joined Sharon Steel and later the National Tube Company where he supervised machinery installation. He leaves no wife and two children. Remains brought to the city Monday night. funeral arrangements not yet made.
