Oscar Burton a colored teamster at the steel plant van believed fatally injured Saturday afternoon while unloading angle iron from a wagon. He was alone at the time and found unconscious with a severe scalp wound. He lived on Everett Street and was about 52 years old.
The remains of Mrs John Worden who died on the 28th at Kenton were brought to Elyria and then taken to Ridgeville for burial. She was 78 years old, an early Ridgeville resident, well known in the county. The funeral was held at one o'clock Monday afternoon at Ridgeville.
Five months old child of Mr and Mrs Martie Handenp of East River Street died Sunday morning at the parents home. Funeral planned for Tuesday morning at ten o clock. Odd Fellows attendees urged to be present at the lodge on Tuesday April 30th for initiatory degree.
Post offices plan to cancel postage stamps with a new ink developed by the Darean of chemistry in the department of agriculture. The cooperation with the post office department aims to foil stamp washers who have operated extensively against traditional methods.

Committee auditors report secretary and treasurer books correct.
At the urging of a large number of Elyria Republicans, Hon Parks Foster will run for the nomination for Lorain county representative. He built railroads and quarries, led real estate and coal ventures, and now presides over a local bank with strong public trust.
Saturd ay morning’s Cleveland Plain Dealer reports a brewing political storm in Lorain and surrounding counties over the state senate race in the double twenty seventh and twenty ninth district. The dispute centers on whether Senate Chamberlain has earned party endorsement, with accusations of treachery and threats of not renominating him.
In Elyria Federal Telephone stock holders fear total losses as the price slides from the 2.00 level to 55 cents. Local investors, some borrowing to buy on the ground floor, face distressed portfolios worth about 105000 dollars amid questions of a potential scheme and awaited developments.
