Noakes Resigns Pastorate at Church of the Epiphany

The Rev BT Noakes, rector of the Church of the Epiphany in Cleveland, preached his farewell sermon on Sunday after a forty six year ministry. Ordained in the Protestant Episcopal church, he served at Elyria and Gembier before leading churches in Philadelphia and Columbus, then returning to Elyria to build St Andrew's. He later helped form Emmanuel in Cleveland and, with others, established the current Epiphany parish and its church on Hold Avenue.

Herbert Leassenhop, who finished a shorthand course at Oberlin Business College, went to Collinwood last Monday to secure a position with the 8 Sand MS on recommendation from the college. GN Pond of Oberlin has been appointed administrator of Mary S Atwater's estate with a 5000 bond after the deceased was murdered by the Boxera in Ohioz.

Funeral for Peter Flood Held at St Mary's Church

The funeral for Peter Flood was held from St Marys church at an early hour on Monday morning with Rev Schalfeld officiating. Burial followed at the Catholic cemetery north of town.

Staber v Noll Wright v Holland Turner v DeWitt Metzgar v Metzger were dismissed after out of court settlements. AM Talley died at 76 at his Lorain home after four years of paralytic illness. Funeral tomorrow at 1 pm with Rev. Wagar. interment Elmwood. He was father of Mrs. Frank Baxter.

Ridgeville Sunday convention at Congregational Church

The Ridgeville township Sunday convention will be held at the Congregational Church on Saturday May 9 at 6445. Rev JP Reidinger VP of the union will preside and Prof H O King of Oberlin College will be the principal speaker.
